Our History.

The Learning Well began as the dream of two families who sought the best education for their young children.  What started as a "what if" conversation over dinner grew into reality through the hard work and generosity of so many.  2015 was our inaugural academic year with one teacher and ten students.  In 2016 we expanded to two teachers and approximately 20 students. In 2017 we expanded to three teachers and approximately 30 students.  Today we serve over 50 students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.

Our Vision.

  • To operate as a community of learners that provides students with the opportunity to engage, investigate, and learn with other students, each with their own diverse knowledge and interests;

  • To meet the academic needs of children by creating a learning environment that is focused on the child instead of outside influences that dictate content and learning goals;

  • To provide engaging, hands-on tools that build on each child’s knowledge and interests;

  • To provide adequate time and teacher guidance for each child to explore their interests;

  • To create a stress-free work environment without the pressure of state testing in the elementary grades;

  • To support parents by being an advocate and resource for their child’s education;

  • To invite parents into classroom learning by encouraging them to share their knowledge and skills as it supports content areas and project based learning;

  • To allow God’s love and guidance in the Bible to permeate all areas of learning, teaching us how to love God and others, and to know Him more fully by studying His creation through all the subjects.

Our Statement of Faith.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • We believe that salvation is totally an act of God’s grace that is accessed through faith in Jesus Christ.  No person can be good enough to earn salvation, and “being good” does not contribute to receiving God’s love and favor.

  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.  Those who repent and believe in Him are united with Christ through the Holy Spirit and are thereby regenerated, justified, sanctified, and granted the gift of eternal life as adopted children of God.

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
