School Facility

The Learning Well operates out of Saddlerock Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 1400 S Miller Street in Wenatchee.  At the base of beautiful Saddlerock, our multi-room facility offers plenty of space for hands-on learning and exploration.

You can take a virtual tour of our classroom here.

Progressive Classroom Design
Engaging Materials

Our classroom is designed to engage students from the moment they enter.  With walls lined with bookcases and shelves full of interesting and varied learning activities, children are excited to dig in and explore with the guidance of their teacher.  Instead of conventional desks and chairs, students work in a variety of environments depending upon their activity, including independent workstations, tables for collaboration, floor rugs, chairs and even outdoors.

Outdoor Access

All of our materials are high quality and varied to accomodate the different and unique learning styles each child has naturally.  Research shows that hands on activities improve retention, so most of our materials allow the child to interact with the curriculum in some way.  Some examples include: math and counting objects, letters and words, writing utensils, art supplies, globes, puzzles, books, and science experiments.

Safety and Security

We believe that kids need to connect with the outdoors as much as possible.  We've built outdoor activities into our learning plans as well as created space for children to recharge during unstructured outdoor play.  Our facility has excellent, safe outdoor spaces for kids to learn, explore and just be kids.

Our facility is safe and secure.  A locking door separates the classroom corridor from the rest of the church building.  All classroom spaces have windows on multliple walls both to the inside and the outside to maximize supervision.
